Description

A really handsome Victorian sterling silver and tortoiseshell paper knife / page turner. The silver is wonderfully ornate hallmarked at the end for Birmingham 1897 together with the makers mark for Adie & Lovekin Ltd.

The natural antique tortoiseshell blade has wonderful markings and colours ranging from golden champagne to rich chocolate brown; enhanced by a glossy patina; there are two little pin head sized inclusions to one side of the blade, insignificant but mentioned for accuracy.

A really handsome piece to sit on the best of desk tops. Excellent condition measuring 11" long.
