The top of the handle bears an initial 'B' very slightly engraved . Hallmarks are clearly visible on both the handle and on the back of the Scoop for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1852 along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and maker’s mark for the silversmith Aaron Hadfield

The craftmanship of the silversmith is evident - a superb item, wonderful gift or for a collector of the finest cutlery. Lovely heavy weight - nice to hold in the hand.
Condition: This Stilton Scoop is in superb antique collector’s condition.
Hallmarks and maker’s marks: Sheffield 1852 by Aaron Hadfield.
