Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Hallmarks are visible on the inside of the lip for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1906, along with the maker’s mark and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. Partial marks are also visible on the side of the lid. The interior has a light gilt wash.

The silver is a good heavy gauge. Exceptional collector’s item due to its rarity and great condition.
