Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Both have hinged lids that work perfectly and when opened reveal a lovely pale lemon gilt. Both contain the original glass liners to hold ink! Clear hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1930, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and maker's marks for A&J Zimmerman. Partial hallmarks are also visible on the underneath of each of the lids

Condition: This inkwell is in antique collector's condition. The original glass liners are also not chipped and are in great condition.
