Description

A rare and superb quality mid-19th century silver NUTMEG GRATER in very fine original condition.

Beautifully decorated with engine-turning and with a vacant oval cartouche to the lid, it opens and hinges back to reveal the grater itself. A 'crisp' example in mint condition and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1843; maker Joseph Willmore.
