Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
They are very well carved and all the gilding is original. They have been electrified in the past as the brass threaded collars are still present in the scones and all the holes are there for the wires. The actual scone parts are all gilded bronze, everything else is carved wood.
They do require a bit of restoration as a couple of the parts are a wee bit loose, one of the scroll wire parts has become detached and one is missing completely. Apart from these vouple of minor issues they are in good condition.
