Pair of Italian Giltwood Wall Sconces 19th Century

Description

This is a good pair of 19th century Italian wall sconce with beautiful original gilded finish. The hand carved giltwood sconces each have a trio of arrows in the design passing through a central wreath and three carved wood candle holders on gilded metal work scrolls. The sconces date from around 1870 and are substantial in size measuring 76 cms high 35 cms wide by 22 cms deep so have a good deal of impact in a room setting.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
