Rare Victorian Newcastle Silver Mustard Spoon

19th century
Description

A lovely silver and gilt mustard spoon and rare as can be seen by the hallmarks on the back of the spoon terminal for the Newcastle Assay office with a date mark for 1853 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. Maker's marks are also very clear for the silversmith: T Sewell.

The front of the spoon terminal is engraved at the top with the letter L.

 

Condition: This spoon is in great antique condition.
