A Harlequin Set of 5 Victorian Silver Souvenir Spoons

A delightful harlequin set of five Victorian silver teaspoons featuring different National motifs. These interesting examples are as follows :-

Paris. Mounted swordsman. Maker Henri Gabert. Date 1882-1901.

Natal. Enamel armorial 'Dieu et mon droit'. Maker William James Dingley. Date Birmingham 1899.

Asian Temple. silve gilt. Unmarked but tests as silver. Date c1890.

Commonwealth spoon with rifleman.

New Zealand, Cape Colony, Australia, Canada, India & Natal. Date Birmingham 1899. Maker Charles Wilkes.

Castle scene. Date Birmingham 1899. Maker Nathan Bros. All finials are cast.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. The bowl tips are unworn. The enamel on the Natal spoon has a couple of losses.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.

Average Length :- 11 cms.
