Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The strainer sits perfectly on a neat polished silver stand. Hallmarks are visible on both the underside of the Tea Strainer and the side of the Stand, for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1938, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's marks for A.L. Davenport. The base stands on four attractive feet.

An exceptional item and rare to find both Strainer bowl and stand, and in such great antique condition.
