Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot - 1860 - 'Garde La Foy'

Description

This is a beautiful antique Victorian hallmarked sterling silver teapot weighing 992.7 grams and measuring 10" (26 cms) across from handle to tip of spout x 8" (20 cms) tall to the top of the lid and in excellent condition (any marks you can see are just reflections).

It's hallmarked for Sheffield 1860 with the silversmiths mark for James Dixon & Sons.

This lovely teapot is nice and clean inside making it perfectly usable and holds 3 pints.

It has beautiful decoration with a super flower finial on the lid and has an impressive crest on one side with the motto 'Garde La Foy' which means Keep the Faith .
