Art Nouveau Silver Trinket Box Birmingham 1904

A wonderful solid silver trinket box. This box is iconic art nouveau, the flowing organic shape is enhanced by the beautiful art nouveau pattern designs that cover the box including lovely shapes and flowing foliage, with an empty cartouch in the very centre of the lid. The lid is hinged and when opened lovely pale yellow gilding is exposed. Hallmarks are visible on the side of the box with further partial marks on the interior lip of the lid, for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1904. There is also a registration number stamped on the lid Reg No: 425501.

 

The box is in great antique condition both on the outside and including the lovely clean interior.

 

A superb piece of art nouveau silver, in collector's condition.
