Description

A delightful and highly decorative solid or sterling silver small dish or basket featuring a central repousse winged cherub trying to catch a butterfly in a garden setting.

The sides are beautifully pierced or reticulated and the border an finished with an attractive repousse decoration.

There is a hallmark on the underside of the dish for Birmingham 1906 together with the makers mark W.D for William Devenport. It's not a heavy piece, weighing 1.15 ounces and measuring 4 1/2" in diameter across the top. Pretty as a picture!
