The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It is clearly hallmarked on the side for Birmingham 1908 with the maker's mark of Charles Boyton & Son Ltd. The silver is in excellent condition. The intricately-decorated wheel moves freely and all parts are firmly attached. There is an inscription inside which reads: 'West Somerset Polo Club Pony Show. 1912. Ladys Hack Class'.
