The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed T Coupe, Rawtenstall, Haslingden. Thomas Coupe was born in 1847 and lived in Haslingden Road, Rawtenstall until his death in 1931. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover.

The watch measures 54mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Chester 1896. The case is in good condition. The inside of the case back has the engraved name of a previous owner, H Turner.

The later acrylic lens is in good condition.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
