A Handsome Georgian Silver Gin Label

A delightful George III silver decanter label. This good example is a letter 'G' for Gin and is hallmarked to the reverse. It is supported by a belcher chain and is of tablet form with a reeded border. Gin labels are somewhat rarer than some others, such as Brandy, whisky and Sherry and with the escalating interest in Gin once more, are becoming rather desirable. Dimensions below.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Town mark is absent.

Maker :- Thomas Phipps, Edward Robinson and James Phipps.

Width :- 2.25 cms.
