Large Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Inkstand 1870

Description

This is a beautiful and impressive antique Victorian hallmarked sterling silver inkstand with a lovely etched glass and silver inkwell that sits in the centre.

The stand measures 14 1/2" (37 cms) across x 9" (23 cms) x 6 3/4" (17 cms) high to the top of the inkwell.

Everything is in excellent condition with no inscriptions or monograms and the stand alone weighs 845.4 grams which gives some idea of the quality.

Both the stand and inkwell are hallmarked for London 1870 with the silversmiths mark for John, Edward, Walter & John Barnard.
