Antique Heart Shaped Sterling Silver Toast Rack / Letter Holder

Description

A wonderfully romantic English solid or sterling toast rack, perfect for the breakfast table but equally useful (and popular) as a desk top letter holder or perhaps business card holder.

Obviously what makes this so desirable is the heart shaped divisions together with a complimentary heart shaped handle.

As if this all wasn't enough, this one is made by one of England's most famous silversmiths Elkington & Company which can be seen from the hallmark. This mark also identifies this piece having been struck in the Birmingham assay office in the year 1904, making this a true Edwardian example. Superb condition measuring 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" tall to the top of the handle.
