A Scottish Provincial Silver and Horn Snuff Mull

A superior example of a late Victorian Scottish silver mounted snuff mull, by an Aberdeen maker. These rare and sought after items are usually made of ram's horn and mounted with silver.

This wonderful piece has a silver mounted horn lid, decorated with a Scottish thistle and a vacant cartouche. The interior of the lid has a fitted cork seal and the horn has a n attractive pale, glowing patina. A rare an highly collectable item. Dimensions below.
