Antique Early Victorian Sterling Silver Basket - 1846

Description

This is a beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver dish/basket measuring 12" (30 cms) across x 9" (23 cms) x 3 1/4" (8 cms) high to the rim and 9 3/4" (25 cms) high to the top of the handle when it's up.

It weighs 680 grams and is hallmarked for Sheffield 1846 with the silversmiths mark for Henry Wilkinson & Co.

It has beautiful pierced decoration around the rim and sits on a pretty pierced base.

It's in excellent condition with no damage (any marks you can see in the photos are just reflections) and would make a great addition to any collection.
