Cased Set 6 Solid Silver Enamelled Spoons Birmingham 1939

A most attractive set of 6 solid silver and enamel coffee spoons. The spoons have a delightful green enamelled pattern to each end of the terminal in a wonderful truly iconic art deco style. The back of each spoon has visible hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1939 and maker's marks for the silversmith Joseph Gloster Ltd. The spoons sit in their original smokey blue leatherette case with a neat fastening clip on the front that works well. The inside of the box is lined with cream velvet and satin.
