French Gilt Bronze Octagonal Versailles Lantern

Description

A French Louis XIV style gilded bronze and molded glass Versailles single light octagonal antique hall lantern. The elongated body surmounted with a royal crown with fleur-de-lis, scrolling pierced acanthus leaf and scallop shell embellishments, the ornate tapering base with four lovely cherub heads and inverted berried finial, having the original chain and ceiling rose, lovely original patination and very well cast. Fully rewired and PAT tested.
