Antique German Silver Caddy with Romantic Scenes C 1880

Description

This is a superb antique silver caddy with romantic figural decoration of young couples with flowers and swings and with cherubs.

It measures 5” (13cm) tall x 2 3/4” (7cm) square and is in excellent original condition.

The pull off lid is also embossed with young couples.

It has the hallmark for Simon Rosenau who worked in Kissingen Germany from 1862 and he was renowned as a supplier of top quality items of silver to the royal Bavarian court.

This is a great quality caddy weighing 183 grams and in a fabulous style.
