A handsome Victorian antler and silver mounted four piece carving set made by Joseph Rogers & Sons and fitted in their original red silk lined box, consisting of two pairs of servers. The handles have silver mounts decorated with Rams heads and fully hallmarked. All four carving pieces are in very good original condition. Circa 1890. Maker: Joseph Rogers & Son, Sheffield. Knife length: 31.75cm (12.5'') and 42cm (16.5''). fork length: 27.9cm (11'') and 33cm (13''). Weight: 1.42kg.
