Antique English Sterling Silver Visiting Card Case - 1882

Description

A quite stunning and highly decorative Victorian English visiting card case, a perfect size for use today, easily accepting modern sized business cards.

A stunning shape with wonderful decorative engraving to both front and back; the front has an oval shaped vacant cartouche, which hasn't been engraved and could be personalized if desired.

There is a superb clear hallmark once the hinged lid is lifted for London 1882 together with the Queen Victoria's head stamp and the makers marks H&T for Hilliard and Thomason.

All in excellent undamaged condition and measuring 3 7/8" x 2 3/4".
