Antique Edwardian Solid Silver Hot Water Jug

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is a beauty!

A wonderful example of a solid sterling silver hot water jug.

The hallmarks beside the handle are quite rubbed but with the help of the partial hallmarked inside the lid, we can see that the marks are for London 1906, with the maker''s mark of Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd.

The top of the baluster body is covered with lattice work, which continues over the lid. The finial on the lid looks to be an acorn and is firmly attached. The hinge is good. The twisted handle is unusual and also firmly attached. The body stand above a circular pedestal base.
