Early 19th century Old Sheffield Plate very attractive and heavy snuff or tobacco box

Size-2.75 inches long by 2 1/8 inches wide by 1 inch high.

Weight-100 grams.

With rounded corners, double gadrooned edge, hinged lid, and mounted with cast and applied solid silver decoration of bowl of fruit and leaves, this is a very nice example with a very nice shape.

Today such items are also used to hold many different items, and are also collected as an interesting piece of history. Also makes a lovely and decorative display for desk or table.

Wonderful for the collector of snuff boxes or small novelty silver.

With a lovely look and patina, this is in very good condition.
