Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English late Victorian walnut upholstered rectangular stool, circa 1890, which has been newly upholstered and is now in good condition. It has been newly upholstered in top quality Jim Dickens “Agra Spice” upholstery material, with gold, olive and terracotta colours, finished with matching braiding. The seat itself is firmly stuffed, which means that you won’t sink into the seat, but at the same time, it is very comfortable to sit on or rest your feet. The underside has been with traditional hessian material. The stool stands on four fine ring-turned splayed legs, with pretty floral carved shoulders, which are united by a ring turned “X” stretcher for added strength and elegance. The legs terminate on elegant splayed feet. The design of the stools’ legs and stretchers are mirror matched on either side.
This is a top quality foot stool, which is very functional as it consumes little space. It is rare to see stools of this quality, with the lovely turned legs and stretchers, which are constructed of solid walnut; it makes this stool very desirable.

Condition Report:
This stool is in good condition. It has been newly upholstered in top quality Jim Dickens “Agra Spice” upholstery material, with gold, olive and terracotta colours, finished with matching braiding. The seat itself is firm and is very comfortable to sit on or rest your feet. The underside has been with traditional hessian material. The upholstery is therefore new, clean and free from any wear, dirt or damage. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the walnut frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Importantly, there are no breaks to the arms or legs. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
