Edwardian Solid Silver Christening Mug Tankard, 1909

1900 - 1920
Description

A very pretty Edwardian silver christening mug tankard, with engraved foliate decoration and engraved cartouche, with initials and date of March 29 1913. Hallmarked Sheffield 1909 by Atkin Bros.

In excellent overall condition, commensurate with age, a few light dints but difficult to notice with the engraving and mentioned for accuracy. The hallmarks sharp and clear. No restoration.

The personalised engraving could be removed by a competent silversmith.
