Silver Gothic Arch Toast Rack Sheffield 1929

An exceptionally fine solid silver toast rack. Unusually designed in a most fabulous gothic arch shape, the rack has 6 compartments and sits nicely level on a good solid rectangular base, supported on four neat feet. It has a lovely handle, again in a true gothic style, all culminating in what is a most aesthetically pleasing item. Made from exceptionally good heavy gauge silver it feels a really nice weight when picked up by the handle. Very clearly defined hallmarks can be seen on the top of the base for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark of 1929 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the maker's marks for the quality silversmiths:Thomas Bradbury & Son. A superb Toast Rack!

 

Condition: This toast rack is in superb antique condition. Suitable for a collector of the finest silver!
