Description

An exquisite and perfectly designed Victorian solid silver Vesta case with a wonderful hammered finish to both the front and back. Hinged on one side the lid opens and closes perfectly. When opened clear hallmarks are visible on the inside lip of the Vesta for the London Assay Office, with a date mark for 1892 and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the silversmith's maker's mark for Sampson Mordan.

This Vesta feels lovely to hold and is a good heavy gauge silver.

Definitely a collector's item due to the wonderful overall condition.
