Pair 12 Branch 18th Cent Style Chandeliers

1900 - 1920
Description

A handsome pair of 18th Cent style brass chandeliers. Each one has 12 branches arranged in two tiers. They are of substantial construction with all the main parts being cast brass. As in the 18th Cent originals the branches are attached to the central column with brass pegs and are all removable (cheaper modern reproductions are pressed brass and have the arms riveted to the central column) It is difficult to date these items but I would think they date from around 1920

They are currently electrified but the electrical fittings could be removed and the chandeliers used with candles. If the electrical fittings are retained wiring MUST be checked/replaced by a suitably qualified electrician prior to use.

The maximum dimensions are:

70cm (27.5") Diameter

67cm (26") High

They are in overall good condition, one arm has a replacement retaining peg and a few of the imitation candles are missing.
