Good Pair of 18th Century Silver Salt Cellars

Description

Beautiful shape pair of 18th century Sterling silver salt cellars by FRANCES PURTON of LONDON 1788. Beautiful boat-shaped salts with pierced and engraved decoration with claw and ball feet. Both with original blue glass liners which are unusually star cut to the base. Both salts are in pretty good condition for their age apart from some rubbing of the engraving due to polishing. Both liners are original and free from chips or cracks.
