The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
A solid sterling silver cream jug from the reign of George III.
The shaped bulbous body has bright cut decoration which is still crisp after over 200 years of cleaning. There are empty cartouches on both sides. The gilding inside, as well as the rest of the jug, is in excellent condition.
