The interior is still gilded, and the inside of the lid holds a circle of glass which forms a seal. Behind the glass is further details. The collar, the lid and the inside of the lid are hallmarked.

The glass is of simple square form. The top is faceted and the underside is cut with a sunburst design.

The top of the lid is also dented. The mechanism for closing the lid is absoloutely spot on and closes with a satisfying click.
