Description

An Edwardian hallmarked sterling silver hand mirror and hair brush. They were made by Williams Ltd and assayed in Birmingham in 1902.

Both pieces are decorated with hunting scenes. The back of the mirror depicts riders on horseback and their dogs gathering outside a country house. The hair brush depicts a man blowing his hunting horn. Both pieces have vacant cartouches to the handle, while the end of the handle is adorned with a hound to the hand mirror and a fox on the hair brush.

The mirror measures 27 x 11 x 2cm. The brush is 24 x 10 x 5cm. Thge total weight is 662g.

They are not in perfect condition. The photographs will give you a good idea. Unfortunately the backing of the mirror has gone in a few places. The lower half of the back of the brush is slightly indented. There are a few splits, the main one being across the back of the mirror, and varous other small imperfections.
