Description

A stunning pair of solid silver, early Edwardian, Candlesticks. Beautifully designed, the columns taper in shape and sit on fine oval shaped bases. The columns have a lovely tapering reeded pattern with a neat decorative band just below the shoulder. This same pattern is duplicated on the sconces. Detachable wax pans sit neatly into the sconces and can be removed for ease of cleaning. The base beneath each candlestick is felted.

Hallmarks and maker's marks: Hallmarked Birmingham 1902 with maker's marks for Synyer & Beddoes (Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes). The marks on one of the candlesticks is very slightly rubbed but still clear enough to read!
