Description

Antique 1901 silver English pocket watch,W. Wells Stroud.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signednWalter Wells & Son, High class lever watchmakers, Stroud, Glos. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 53.3mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Chester 1901, with a maker’s mark for the Ward & Francis, Coventry. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The watch lens is plastic and is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The watch has an enamel dial signed Walter Wells & Son, Stroud, Glos, which is in nice condition.

The watch has gold hands and a blued steel sub second hand.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

Price includes worldwide postage.
