Description

This is absolutely stunning antique Victoiran sterling silver table epergne centrepiece measuring 21” (53 cm) tall x 12" (30 cms) across the widest part.

It stands on a silver pedestal base which holds a large silver (12") beautifully engraved dish above which is a cut glass dish measuring 8" (20 cms) across.

This is supported by a column of grape and vine decoration - the grape and vine decoration is repeated above the glass dish and supports a cut glass vase (9 1/2" - 24 cms tall) at the top.

The main silver dish is hallmarked for Sheffield 1884 with the silversmiths mark for the Atkin Brothers and the two top sections both show matching part hallmarks.

The silver alone weighs 1215 grams and the item unscrews into five separate parts.

This is all round a beautiful antique item all in excellent condition and would be a very impressive addition to any collection.
