Description

Early 20th century very good quality large silver plate over copper salver or tray, with very nice shaped and applied bead and shell edge, engraved centre, and standing on claw feet.

Lonsdale plate, made by Poston in Sheffield England, in the manner of Old Sheffield Plate.

Size-17.5 inches diameter, by 1.25 inches high.

Weight-1.5 kilos before packing.

A large and elegant tray, with the faint glow of copper showing through in some places.

A very useful and attractive tray to use to serve food or drinks, in very good condition.

Declaration

Serpentine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
