Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
A very tactile item feels nice to hold and the magnifying glass works perfectly well.

Clear hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office are visible on the handle along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The date mark on this part of the handle is worn, however, there is a clear date mark for 1913 on the silver edging (see images). The maker's mark ' Asprey & Co is also visible.

A very collectable item.
