Silver Topped Glass Vanity Jar W J Myatt & Co Birmingham 1912

1900 - 1920
Description

A very pretty silver and cut glass jar. The domed silver top is decorated with a floral motif, has delicate engine turned decoration and a central circular blank cartouche. Clear makers marks for W J Myatt & Co and hallmarks for Birmingham 1912 can be seen on the top of the silver lid, the underside has a light gilt wash. The glass is cut with a starburst and arch decoration and the base is star cut.

CONDITION :

In very good used condition, there are no chips or cracks to the glass, the silver hallmarks and maker's marks are very clear.

HALLMARKS: W J Myatt & Co Birmingham 1912.

MEASUREMENTS:

Diameter: 7.5 cm approx.

Height: 8.5 cm approx.

Weight: 228 grams approx.
