Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Hinged on one side the lid opens and closes perfectly . The case has clear hallmarks visible on the inside lip of the vesta for the Birmingham Assay Office, with a date mark for 1901 and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the silversmith's maker's mark for Arthur Cook.
Condition: This Vesta is in lovely antique condition.
