Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Treasury Inkstand - Asprey 1908

Description

This is a very impressive antique Edwardian hallmarked sterling silver inkstand with two glass inkwells, a pen rest in the centre and rather lovely lion head handles on either end.

It measures 12 1/2" (32 cms) across x 4 3/4" (12 cms) x 2 1/2 (6 cms) high.

The whole item is in excellent condition with no inscriptions or monograms and weighs 1351 grams which gives some idea of the quality.

It's hallmarked all round for London 1908 with the silversmiths mark for John Thomas Heath and John Hartshorne Middleton for 'Asprey of London'.
