Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
Clearly visible to the interior base are the hallmarks for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1790, along with the silversmith's maker's mark for Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson. These hallmarks are also visible on the interior of the lid. The vinaigrette is a lovely size.

Condition: This vinaigrette is in great antique condition. There are some very minor small superficial scratches, commensurate with the age, that I mention for accuracy only.
