A Gillows of Lancaster Stool

Description

As with all Gillows furniture this stool is of exceptional quality both with regards to materials used and craftsmanship. The circular plinth base with incorporated drawer which retains its original turned wooden knob and the makers stamp. The body of the stool leads up to the leather upholstered seat which opens, by means of a Cope and Collinson hinge, to reveal a mahogany lined interior. In very good and original condition. 480mm high and 410mm diameter. Circa 1860.
