An Unusual Victorian Silver Sovereign Case.

A delightful and interesting silver sovereign holder of rectangular form, with a fob attaching ring. This unusual example has engraved foliar engraving to the front and back and a vacant shield shaped cartouche. Sovereign cases are usually round rendering this a fine collector's item.

Condition :- Excellent, with a good hinge and no dents or splits. There is slight weakening to the release spring in the cap, but it opens well and is commensurate with age and use.
