An unusual and surprisingly heavy quality late 19th century Scottish SILVER SAUCE BOAT in excellent original condition.

The detailed scrolled decoration and the general design, which incorporates a stylish reeded handle, reflects both its Art Nouveau period and Glasgow School of design. It is stamped under the base and is fully hallmarked for: R & W Sorley Glasgow 1894.
