Fine Art Nouveau Silver Frame Birmingham 1908

A very fine solid silver photograph frame. The shape is iconic art nouveau , a wonderful stylized shape with organic curved lines. The back is covered in a lovely purple/blue velvet and sits sturdy with a hinged back panel that works perfectly. Clear hallmarks are visible on the front of the frame for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1908 and Lion Passant to indicate sterling silver. Maker's marks are also visible for the renowned Silversmiths Walker & Hall. The aperture for the frame is a good practical size for a photograph.

 

Condition: This frame is in great antique condition.
