Art Nouveau Silver Pill Box Chester 1904

A solid silver pill box in an Art nouveau design in circular form. The Pill box lid is decorated with wonderful repousse work depicting a mother and child. The lid pulls off to reveal a pale yellow gilt interior. Clear Hallmarks are visible on the underneath of the pill box for The Chester Assay Office with a date mark for 1904, along with the Lion Passant for sterling silver and maker's mark for Henry Griffiths and Sons. There is also a Lion Passant and date mark on one side of the lid.

 

Condition: This Pill Box is in lovely antique condition.

 

Hallmarks: Chester 1904 by Henry Griffiths and Sons.
